About Us

It All Started As A Buyer

In about 2000, I found my dream home being advertised on the market. It was in a “hot” area so I had to act fast. Fortunately I sold my existing townhome to an unrepresented buyer who happened to be looking at the next-door townhome for sale on the MLS. No agent fees. Cha-ching! $12,000! So…

I called the listing agent on my dream home’s yard sign and he told me I need a buyer agent to submit an offer. I thought, huh? So, I did and ended up having to pay an extra $10,000 for the home to pay for my buyer agent, who provided the offer forms, and that’s it.

So, I acquired my real estate associate license, then broker’s license, studied the industry and regulations, and decided to offer a new, transparent model not found anywhere in the country that can benefit both a buyer and a seller. The result: Home Sense was born.

The Home Sense Guarantee

The real estate rules and ethics in Tennessee allow for significant latitude in how real estate services are offered. And for that, we are very thankful because that allows us to take a different path and separate ourselves from the pack by going "over and above." We're so excited about what we do and how we do it that we guarantee your satisfaction and offer any of our clients the option to cancel a listing agreement due to lack of industry transparency, integrity, and honesty.

Home Sense In Community

If you're reading this, you're likely one of the wealthiest persons in the world. Whether we realize it or not, we've been blessed, but so many of our neighbors suffer from food and housing shortages. Please know that when you team with Home Sense, 3% of all Home Sense fees that YOU pay go towards helping those in need. And if you have a special philanthropic preference, let us know and we'll donate that 3% to it in your name. For a $500,000 home sale, that's $150-$300 you're contributing. Thank you!!
